India is the favorite destinations of tourists across the world. With its charming natural beauty and spectacular architectural attractions, India has gained a significant popularity as a place ‘worth seeing.’ New Delhi, the national capital, and its neighboring places such as Agra and Jaipur constitute the most wanted tour packages in India. This tri-city tour is nicknamed as The Golden Triangle Tour.

The word ‘Golden Triangle’ upholds the concept behind this tour. A visit to these three cities will take you through the Golden era which India has witnessed in the past. The Moghul emperors have contributed a significant share to India’s tourism. The monuments such as Red Fort, Quitab Minar, and Humayun Tomb in Delhi and the great Taj Mahal in Agra are just a few examples in them. The imposing structures, all built by human beings without the help of sophisticated machines, tell us how powerful and ingenious those rulers and their subjects were.

Ancient monuments in Delhi and Agra are testimonials to the fact that there were exceptionally talented artists in those eras. Each creation has its own unique artistic features to claim for. Each of them is built for a purpose. Because of these features, these monuments stand out as ‘works of excellence.’ A typical example is the Taj Mahal, which stands as the embodiment of true love. Not only the architecture, but the atmosphere surrounding it also is capable of conveying that feeling to the world. The gloomy Yamuna River flowing along its sides typifies the extent of sorrow which the monument carries.

Jaipur, known as the pink city, is the jewel of India and the capital of the desert state Rajasthan. The city is popular for its royal structures built centuries ago by respective Maharajas. The people of Rajasthan have succeeded in preserving these royal values and imparted them in their culture. This is best seen through their traditional practices, including celebrating festivals, conducting familial ceremonies such as weddings. A journey through Jaipur will give you a complete view of the soul of the city. Important attractions include Maharaja’s City Palace, the Observatory and Ram Niwas Gardens.

There are several tour operators in India who provide assistance with Golden Triangle Tour. They offer you professional services right from the moment you land at New Delhi airport. Their services are customized for different types of travelers, including native and foreign tourists. They are known for highly competitive services for transport, accommodation and travel guides.

India is a host to several tourists every year and they relish the nature, culture, cuisine, hospitality and that the land offers them with pride and affection. ; namely New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh that houses Agra and Rajasthan that houses Jaipur. This tour may sound like a very short journey but it is indeed a bird’s eye view of the culture and historical heritage of the Northern part of India.

New Delhi has been the capital of India even in the ancient ties when it was known as Indraprastha in the Sanskrit language. The Rajpoots, Turks, Moughuls and finally the British before India’s independence ruled over India for this capital city. There are several places of historical and political interest in Delhi. Chirag Delhi monuments, the Red Fort, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Lotus temple of Bahai worship, Birla Mandir, Jantar Mantar observatory etc. are sure to entice you. There are excellent shopping areas in and around Connaught place and circus. There are a few Buddhist meditation centers also in Delhi that might attract the attention of several tourists. There are a few exclusive handloom and handicraft showrooms that the tourists would surely feel like visiting to take home some trinkets of remembrance from here.

Agra can be easily reached from Delhi by taking a cab. Taj Mahal, built by Moughul Emperor Shahjehan in the fond memory of his wife Mumtaz sings the glory of eternal love. The structure is made in pure marble and presents a fusion of Rajput, Persian and Arabic art in its relics. You can carry home miniature Taj Mahals from the local markets. Do not forget to enjoy the local sweet dish Petha that is made from a variety of pumpkins. This juicy sweet dish will surely win your hearts.

Jaipur is not far from Agra and it is the last point to see in the Golden Triangle tour. Jaipur is very well known for the Jantar Mantar observatory and of course the city palace, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort and lots of other monuments. Some of the monuments here have now been converted into luxury hotels and museums and the tourists can get to know the lifestyle and the culture of the early rulers of the land very easily through them. The markets in Jaipur are abundant in antique items, dress material, jewels, edible items and more. The local cuisine is indeed very delicious and you would never forget the unique taste. This tour ends finally in New Delhi with the completion of the triangular itinerary.

Agra, Jaipur and Delhi have world-class hotel and commutation facilities. The air-conditioned cabs are easily available and they are reasonable too as far as costs are concerned. Come along, India is ready to give you a warm welcome and a wonderful vacation.

The renowned architecture in almost intact and pristine state is a rarity that brings holidaymakers and other tourists to appraise see and appreciate the forts and monuments of these places.

The second similarity is that all these cities exist in North India. The northern part of India is very huge; the gigantic Himalayas also exist here. It is impossible to view India in one visit or limited time. The guided Golden Triangle Tour of North India gives a comprehensive tour package of three vital heritage cities of India in systematic time schedule and emphasis to the delight of the visitors. The weeklong package covers historical sights, monuments, and major shopping venues of Delhi Agra and Jaipur – the important components of the Golden Triangle Tour circuit. Here, you will come face-to-face with the culture, past and present, of India. The tour is usually inclusive of hotel accommodation and entry fees at each sightseeing place covered in the itinerary.

Delhi is not only a vibrant city but also has a rich chronically recorded past. The monuments here provide authentic evidences of history. Here, the Golden Triangle Tour will take you to Raj Ghat built in memory of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, Jama Masjid – the colossal mosque of India, and the majestic Red fort still reflecting the grandeur it once enjoyed! It has brilliant light and sound show at night. All these are in Old Delhi area.

Once in New Delhi, you will get to see the World Heritage sites of the Humayun’s Tomb, and the towering Qutab Minar. You will also catch glimpses of Purana Quila, Parliament House, monumental India Gate, palatial President’s estate and the diplomatic enclave on the way. The guide will take you through historical perspectives of each place. The night stay at one of the comfortable hotels will wake you up refreshed for the next day’s journey. The grandiose dignified monuments seen the previous day will overwhelm you into asking how could you see so much in such a short duration?

Your next halt will be at the 18th century origin desert city Jaipur, also called the Pink City. Plastered in trademark rust pink, the official color of old Jaipur, forts and palaces of the city are not only splendid but also display scientific ingenuity of its craftsmen. Each of its heritage structure is a novelty in architecture. There is a lot to see here like City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Birla Mandir, Amber Fort & Palace on a hillock, gardens and shopping centers.

Agra, the third anchor of the triangle, has become synonymous with world-renowned marble tomb of Mumtaz Mahal on the bank of Yamuna. The Taj Mahal is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This destination of eternal love is foremost in the list of tourists. In Agra, other architectural monuments of fame and appreciation are the Red Fort of Agra, Itmad-Ud-Daullah’s Tomb, Dayal Bagh, Sikandra and Rambagh. On the outskirts is Fatehpur Sikri, where ancient temples, forts, palaces and mosque of unsurpassed beauty still stand in quiet dignity.

Undertake the treasure hunt of Architecture with the Golden Triangle Tour of North India to see the artistry in symmetry, harmony, rhythm and proportion of monuments. Created as jewels, these wonder structures have surpassed the attacks of time and Nature and retain the majestic and grand looks they were born with.

During your India Tours take a tour of Old Delhi to discover historical monuments and seats of culture that are little known in the lanes of Chandni Chowk, largest and oldest market of Asia. These include Haveli of Mirza Ghalib, traditional specialty shops and eateries that have been here for more than two centuries. Lal Qila or the Red Fort at Delhi overshadows Chandni Chowk with its magnificent presence. Standing on the bank of River Yamuna, this huge red sandstone for was built by Shah Jahan as the new Capital for Mughals, when they shifted from Agra to Delhi. Close to the fort, he also built the largest mosque in India – Jama Masjid – that can hold up to 25000 devotees at once.

New Delhi holds the first reminiscent of Islamic victory in India known as Qutub Minar, which is among the highest stone towers in the world, Humayun’s Tomb, Old Fort, India Gate, Raj Ghat, and President’s House with its beautiful Mughal Gardens thrown open to public in the Spring Season are other relics that Delhi is proud of. New-age history has seen the construction of Lotus Temple and Akshardham Temple in Delhi that exude extreme beauty. Also New Delhi is one of the main gateways to India for many foreign tourists choosing any tour including Golden Triangle Tours.

Shah Jahan loved architecture in marble about as much passionately as he loved his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal and Agra was his birthplace, where he was born to a Mughal Emperor Jehangir. So, it was quite natural that when Mumtaz asked him to build a tomb that surpasses the entire world in beauty and grace to immortalize their love, Shah Jahan chose a site in Agra on the banks of River Yamuna for such a romantic and glorious structure. He invited best architects from all over the world and the design that he chose bore Persian and indigenous influences. Being an emperor, he imported marble from Makrana and used semi-precious and precious stones to add color to the lacework motifs. The Taj is one of the Seven Wonders of the World today.

Agra is also home to the former residence complex of Mughal Emperors – Agra Fort, Akbar’s vision city – Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s Tomb – Sikandra, and Itmad-ud-Daullah’s Tomb known as the ‘Jewel Box’ that was built by Noor Jehan for her father. The creative tomb is said to have been an inspiration for Taj. Jaipur, an introduction to Royal Rajasthan Tours, too is a sea of royal heritage monuments that are architectural marvels that amply use sophisticated artistry and craftsmanship. Opulence at Jaipur is all about stone art with lavish interiors. Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort as well as Royal Cenotaphs at Gaitore on the outskirts of the city and the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the City Palace within the Pink City are witnesses of centuries of Rajput hierarchy in the region.
