Destination – Andhra Pradesh (South India)

Days - 6Nights/7Days

Theme - Cultural Tour

This seven days tour is bound to throw a light on your view of India. Its a cultural tour touching Golconda Fort to the Kuchipudi dance; the varied culture of Andhra will change the way you see India. Its a 7 day tour – each day of yours will be filled with a new charm. The climate here is moderate round the year so its advisable to keep cotton and semi cotton clothes along with some denim. Your stay in Andhra will be at predecided restaurants and most of the places in Andhra will be covered by road.
* Boot camping at Araku Valley is complementary.

Destination 1 - Hyderabad - ( Day 1 ) – Its a one day tour at the city of Nizams (Kings) and Pearls.
? Golconda Fort
? Salarjung Museum
? Mecca Masjid
? Laad Bazaar

Your tour guide will welcome you at the airport. From here he will take you to the hotel. En route to hotel have a glimpse of the city – its a mix of the era gone by and the present scenario, practically visible. A warm welcome awaits you as you enter the hotel premises. A teeka (red color powder mixed with saffron powder pasted on the forehead in the form of a straight line) and aarti (small cup shaped vessel with a cotton thread lit with a small flame) and garland awaits you.

After the welcome and breakfast your tour operator will take you to for a ride to the past - in Golconda Fort – the fort with 400 years old legacy. The charm of the Fort lies in the fact that it has been built on 120 meter high granite hill. Another thing which will attract you at the fort is that if you clap at the entering gate of the fort it can be heard in the courtyard, Try it along with your friend; i am sure you will delighted to do so. There is more to be proud of your visit to the fort -as its vault has lain both – the notorious Hope Diamond and the famous Kohinoor Diamond. Though both the diamonds are not there at present; one can still feel their charm.

From here you will head to Salarjung Museum- one more exemplifying example of Indian Culture. Get a feel of the riches of the Nizams (Kings)of Hyderabad in the stupendous one-man collection of artifacts and antiques. It will last long in your memory.

Its lunch time – time to have a taste of Hyderabadi cuisine - the world famous Kebabs and different varieties of fried rice – this is what the local folklore likes. Soon after the hefty lunch we head for Mecca Masjid (Mosque) – a sign of how India is a mix of various cultures. Have a close look at it and do take some photographs of it as it is one of India’s largest Masjid (around 10000 worshipers can worship in a day) – you see the bricks supporting its central arch came from as far as Mecca itself.

There is more to see in this happening city – the Chaar Minar – situated in the heart of the city boasts of the era gone by. It was made to commemorate the eradication of plague from Hyderabad. A photograph of the Minar is a must as it is a live form of the old days architecture.

Its evening time and a visit to the city of pearls without shopping is no visit. So the coach will drop you at Laad Bazaar(Market) – one of the most famous markets of Hyderabad. Shop for cloths and artificial jewelery but don’t forget to take the most exquisite pearls of Hyderabad – something for which Hyderabad is famous worldwide.
